Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Season Finale

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into tonight’s season finale.

Well, this is it. The season finale is upon us, and though there are still six people remaining heading into tonight’s votes, it would be a SHOCK if anyone but Domenick or Wendell won.

That said, it’s still possible for Laurel to pull something off. I think we’re all in agreement Sebastian and Angela cannot win, and Donathan would be the ultimate longshot. So if those other players can figure that out in time and band together, they might be able to pull off a miracle.

Here are the final power rankings of the season, in order of best chance to win.

Survivor Power Rankings: Season Finale

1. Domenick (Last week: 1) — It’s sort of been the season of Domenick. He hasn’t been challenged much, but he started by playing very aggressively (almost Tony-like) and then dialed it back as he and Wendell fell into a co-leaders role. It’s hard to give the edge to one of them over the other, but he foreshadowed in a confessional about being willing to take out Wendell when the time was right — and we still haven’t heard anything like that from Wendell. If Domenick can strike first and go to the finals with like a Laurel and Sebastian, he might win unanimously.

2. Wendell (Last week: 2) — My favorite player of the season. He’s well-liked and played a smooth game, never panicking despite his name coming up constantly as a threat. That said, I think the remaining players will either take him out before final tribal or he’ll lose a fire-making challenge at the final four to get denied a spot. Because if he makes it to the final three, he has a great chance to win.

3. Laurel (Last week: 3) — She talks about making the big move every week and never does. It’s probably too late now, but there’s still a chance for her to win. Here’s how it would work: In the first vote tonight, she needs to rally the other players to blindside either Wendell or Dom without them playing their idols. The remaining player between Wendell/Dom would then play the idol at the five-person tribal (last time they can use it) and advance to the final four. Then, if that person loses the immunity challenge, he would have to go to the fire-making competition. Laurel would hope the person gets eliminated there, thus sending her to the final three along with Donathan and either Sebastian or Angela, where Laurel would win. Other than that, I don’t see how she can do it.

4. Donathan (Last week: 4) — The best thing Donathan has going for him is his sympathetic story. He cannot beat Wendell or Dom if they are at final tribal with him, but he might be able to beat Laurel (in an upset) and can definitely get votes over Sebastian or Angela. But it’s hard to picture how Donathan can even reach a final three with Angela and Sebastian, considering Wendell and Dom both have idols and have out-played him every week this season.

5. Sebastian (Last week: 6) — His inexplicable loyalty to Wendell and Dom will cost him, because he has nothing on his resume. Even if he gets to the final three, I doubt he can win at this point. There’d have to be major drama for that to happen.

6. Angela (Last week: 7) — Not happening. There is no scenario that sees her winning Survivor.

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 12

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 12.

Original Naviti is FINALLY falling apart, but that only helps Domenick and Wendell — who seem destined to make the final three at this point unless they take each other out. No one else has the firepower to mount a challenge anymore.

Original Malolo vs. Original Naviti probably doesn’t matter anymore, but I’m keeping the (O-Nav) or (O-Mal) by the names below for another week. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 12

1. Domenick (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) I’ll keep Domenick up top for now. Although it’s close between Dom and Wendell, more players seem to be bringing up Wendell’s name as the threat to win it all. Plus, it feels like Dom is more willing to cut ties with Wendell when it counts, while Wendell is firm on going to the end with Dom (or makes it seem that way).

2. Wendell (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) I love the game he’s playing. Very smooth, very likable and clearly in power — and yet no one is able to take a real shot at him. It’s insane! Why wouldn’t the other players take out Wendell and Dom? Crazy, crazy, crazy. So much bad gameplay this season. How about the balls on Wendell to not play his idol last week though?

(Intentional space left to indicate huge dropoff to the rest of the players.)

3. Laurel (Last week: 3) — (O-Mal) She should have gotten rid of Wendell when she had the chance last week. Instead, she made the safe play and perhaps assured herself of a final three spot while sealing her fate as someone who will get trounced by the eventual winner (Dom or Wendell). What’s her jury pitch, “I’m the last Malolo?” Eh, that’s not going to get the votes.

4. Donathan (Last week: 5) — (O-Mal) Honestly, he has very little chance of winning. His only hope is if Dom and Wendell face a bitter jury and players want to give Donathan $1 million because of his sympathetic story. Other than that, his only signature move is dropping truth bombs at tribal council.

5. Sebastian (Last week: 6) — (O-Nav) Whoa! Who knew Sebastian was so loyal to Dom and Wendell? I thought he’d be with the women of Naviti, but nope. Not the case. Still, I don’t think he has a real chance at winning — though there’s a shot of him going to the final three over Laurel and Donathan.

6. Kellyn (Last week: 4) — (O-Nav) Her game has fallen apart. She was so set on staying Naviti strong that she never realized Laurel and Donathan had moved ahead of her in the pecking order with Wendell and Dom. The challenge for Wendell and Dom will be to get her out without making her a bitter jury member. Her only prayer is if the two frontrunners somehow turn on each other prematurely, leaving her as the most relevant Naviti still standing.

7. Angela (Last week: 7) — (O-Nav) An easy vote whenever anyone feels like it. She’s pretty much on her own island at this point after losing allies like Chris, Des and Chelsea. Unless something wild happens, it’s likely Kellyn or Angela going home this week.

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 11

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 11.

The Survivor producers tried to mix things up last week with the double tribal council with separate tribes, but guess what? The result ultimately turned out to be the same as it would have been with one tribe: The bottom two Malolos (Jenna and Michael) went home.

But this is probably the week Original Naviti finally falls apart! Or maybe not. To help you keep track of what’s going on, I’ve added a (O-Nav) or (O-Malolo) by the names below. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 11

1. Domenick (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) It’s Domenick and Wendell’s world right now, and everyone else is just living in it. Seriously, why don’t the other players try to break up this power duo? Crazy! Anyway, I’m giving Domenick the slight edge because he indicated last week he could turn on Wendell if needed before the final three, while we’ve heard no such talk from Wendell.

2. Wendell (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) He’s obviously liked by the majority of the players and believes he can win — even if he sits next to Dom at the end. I’m not so sure about that, though their alliance should stay together for the time being.

3. Laurel (Last week: 4) — (O-Mal) She’s in a decent spot, despite there only being two Malolos remaining. Dom and Wendell seem to have more loyalty to her than they do to Kellyn, and Kellyn’s panicky vote(s) toward her last week might actually strengthen Laurel’s position. As long as she keeps her alliance with the two leading men under wraps, she could make the final three — and maybe win.

4. Kellyn (Last week: 3) — (O-Nav) Her game really seems to be falling apart. She’s paranoid and will believe seemingly anything people tell her (Michael: I have an idol! Kellyn: OMG!!! You totally do, even though you won’t show it to me!!). That said, she probably has one shot — this week — to win the game. If it’s going to happen, she needs to rally Angela, Chelsea and Sebastian to vote out either Dom or Wendell. Then the four of them will have a 4-3 advantage over Laurel/Donathan/remaining person between Dom and Wendell. That said, I doubt she can really make it work, and there’s a decent chance she’s getting voted out tonight.

5. Donathan (Last week: 5) — (O-Mal) He’s got a real shot at the final three now, as long as the Dom/Wendell/Laurel alliance holds and he can ride it out. Can he win? Probably not, unless a bitter jury decides not to give the prize or Wendell/Dom.

6. Sebastian (Last week: 7) — (O-Nav) He’s blind to Dom and Wendell’s plan, and so he’ll be an easy vote in the next few weeks unless he can somehow jump ship to Kellyn (if she pulls a new alliance together).

7. Angela (Last week: 6) — (O-Nav) She should have turned against Original Naviti when she had the chance. Now she’s at the bottom of the alliance and doesn’t have a prayer of winning.

8. Chelsea (Last week: 8) — (O-Nav) Her loyalty to Kellyn is not going to end well for her. If Kellyn doesn’t go home this week, it might be Chelsea.

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 10

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 10 (the 11th episode of the season).

Though Desiree got the boot last week after her coup plan blew up in her face — thus reducing the number of Original Naviti — the power alliance still holds a 6-4 advantage over the remaining Original Malolo (Michael, Laurel, Donathan and Jenna).

Original Naviti will fall apart at some point, but apparently not yet. To help you keep track of what’s going on, I’ve added a (Original Naviti) or (Original Malolo) by the names below. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 10

1. Domenick (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) Apparently some people don’t like Domenick? That’s weird to me, because he’s playing the best game. Those players should have realized from the start he was a major threat, but he’s running the show. Even when Kellyn heavily protested about his plan to get rid of Desiree instead of Michael, Dom ended up getting people to go his way. The big concern here is other players talk about getting Domenick and Wendell eventually, but…who is going to do it? Kellyn? She just lost a number, and Domenick has quietly built an alliance with two people from Malolo (Laurel and Donathan).

2. Wendell (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) When people talk about getting rid of either Wendell or Dom, Wendell’s name seems to come up more often. He’s still my favorite player of the season, but Dom seems to be playing a slightly smarter game recently.

3. Kellyn (Last week: 4) — (O-Nav) I was surprised to hear Kellyn openly tell Domenick about how tight she was with Chelsea and Desiree. She used the word “unbreakable.” Then it broke. Kellyn seems to have adopted that Bradley swagger and appears overconfident, but she has one thing in her favor: The one player who said Kellyn was “dangerous” and “playing way harder than anybody thinks” — Desiree — just went home.

4. Laurel (Last week: 3) — (O-Mal) I’m worried about Laurel’s game. She sort of outed herself by running to Dom with the Desiree news. Wouldn’t other players look at that and go, “Wait, why would she do that? Wouldn’t she want to work with Desiree and overthrow the Naviti power structure??” After all, she called Naviti a “cult-like society.” If people start to put the pieces together, it could fall apart for her quickly.

5. Donathan (Last week: 6) — (O-Mal) The longer he sticks around, the more chance he has of getting carried to the finals. And since others overlook him, I could almost picture a sympathetic jury giving him a million bucks. He has to avoid a lot of shots being fired at all remaining Original Malolo members first, though.

6. Angela (Last week: 5) — (O-Nav) Here’s the thing about Angela: She’s a wild card. I could see her jumping to a different alliance when she needs to make a move. But in the meantime, no one is coming after her — so she might stay put for awhile longer.

7. Sebastian (Last week: 9) — (O-Nav) He’s determined to stay Naviti strong, but he doesn’t realize he’s toward the bottom. Wendell and Dom want to work with Kellyn — or even Donathan/Laurel — not him.

8. Chelsea (Last week: 7) — (O-Nav) With Desiree gone, she’s essentially Kellyn’s top lieutenant. But where’s that going to get her? Maybe to the final three, where she’ll get no votes.

9. Jenna (Last week: 10) — (O-Mal) Maybe it’s her position in the game, but it seems like she’s just waiting around to get voted off. She has no chance of actually winning it all.

10. Michael (Last week: 11) — (O-Mal) He’s just a sitting duck at this point. I like him, but the odds are he will go home this week unless he pulls some sort of idol magic.

ELIMINATED:

Week 1: Gonzalez (ranked No. 8 of 20 castaways) and Jacob (ranked No. 4 of 20).

Week 2: Morgan (ranked No. 14 of 18)

Week 3: Brendan (ranked No. 2 of 17)

Week 4: Stephanie (ranked No. 1 of 16)

Week 5: James (ranked No. 10 of 15)

Week 6: Bradley (ranked No. 6 of 14)

Week 7: Chris (ranked No. 4 of 13)

Week 8: Libby (ranked No. 12 of 12)

Week 9: Desiree (ranked No. 8 of 11)

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 9

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 9 (the 10th episode of the season).

Libby went home last week, eliminating another Original Malolo member. There are now just four Original Malolos remaining — Michael, Laurel, Donathan and Jenna, and they’re outnumbered by the seven Original Naviti who are still left.

But the lines are starting to get a bit blurrier, so we’ll see how things shake out this week. To help you keep track, I’ve added a (O-Nav) or (O-Mal) by the names below. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 9

1. Wendell (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) He’s still playing the best game, although his ally Laurel seemed to be seriously considering a potential coup last week. Will revealing too much information to Laurel come back to bite him? After all, she told the camera, “I can only trust him to a certain point.”

2. Domenick (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) He’s being portrayed as Wendell’s right-hand man, but I think he might be running the show. It was a smart move to lay low last week after seeming like a threat at tribal, though. If someone is going to break up the Wendell/Dom power duo, they might go after Wendell first.

3. Laurel (Last week: 4) — (O-Mal) Despite being Original Malolo, Laurel seems to have gotten herself into a final four agreement with the top two players from Naviti (Wendell and Dom) and a non-threat from Malolo (Donathan). If all of them stay true to their word, she could make a deep run and then assemble the numbers to make a power move in the final weeks to build her resume.

4. Kellyn (Last week: 3) — (O-Nav) She correctly identified Libby and Michael as a power couple that needed to be broken up, which she helped do successfully last week. Her best bet is sticking with Chelsea and Desiree to stay strong, then eventually get rid of Wendell or Dom.

5. Angela (Last week: 11) — (O-Nav) Wow! Her performance in the eating challenge last week was impressive, but not as impressive as her blatantly stirring the pot and spreading rumors about what others players are planning. If she keeps that up, she could make more of an impact than originally expected.

6. Donathan (Last week: 5) — (O-Mal) He really has a shot to make a deep run in this game. He might even get carried to the final three. It’s possible he could win under the right circumstances, namely if the other players anger the jury.

7. Chelsea (Last week: 6) — (O-Nav) It’s really hard to make any judgments about her game from week to week. One week, she’ll be in the mix. The next, she’ll be totally off the radar. It’s hard to picture her winning the whole thing, but she’s not in danger of going home soon.

8. Desiree (Last week: 9) — (O-Nav) She’s sort of floating along in the same group as Chelsea. It seems they go where Kellyn goes, but I don’t know how far that will take her.

9. Sebastian (Last week: 7) — (O-Nav) It’s approaching the time where being a strong male competitor makes people a target. And with Chris gone, who is the “meat shield” to keep Se-Bas from getting the boot?

10. Jenna (Last week: 10) — (O-Mal) She’s going to be an easy vote in the next couple episodes. Even if she survives that, she’s not playing a winning game.

11. Michael (Last week: 8) — (O-Mal) He lost another ally last week in Libby. He doesn’t have the numbers. And he’s already been identified as a threat. If he somehow makes it another few weeks, I’ll be surprised.

12 of 12)

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 8

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 8 (the ninth episode of the season).

Chris finally got the boot after being the craziest character of the season, then recorded an actual rap video back at Ponderosa (you have to see it if you haven’t).

But now where does that leave everyone?

To help you keep track, I’ve added a (O-Nav) or (O-Mal) by the names below. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 8

1. Wendell (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) Wendell is playing such smooth, cool game and not making any enemies in the process. Eventually he’s going to cut ties with Domenick, but they’re a dynamic duo for now,.

2. Domenick (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) I hate that he misplayed his Legacy Advantage. Ultimately, he could have kept it. But I still think he’s playing a good game. Now, is he making himself too big of a target? Perhaps. I think he has numbers to stick around for awhile, though.

3. Kellyn (Last week: 3) — (O-Nav) She still seems to be playing the best game outside of Wendell and Dom, who are far and away the tops of the season. I can’t see the other players thinking she’s a threat, either.

4. Laurel (Last week: 8) — (O-Mal) Laurel told Domenick she was happy to see him again when the tribes merged, and he returned the compliment. That indicates she has more of an “in” with Original Naviti than we may have realized, so it’s good for her game.

5. Donathan (Last week: 10) — (O-Mal) It seems like he has a good relationship with Dom. That, combined with him not being a threat at all, might keep him around long enough to pull off a surprise final three appearance.

6. Chelsea (Last week: 5) — (O-Nav) Chelsea is starting to make a little more noise and we’re seeing her game a bit more. She seems to have a strong voice in the direction of Original Naviti at times.

7. Sebastian (Last week: 6) — (O-Nav) He was Chris’ boy, so that might hurt his trustworthiness in the long run. And it’s another number lost that could have helped him make the final three.

8. Michael (Last week: 7) — (O-Mal) How far can he get before the big alliance decides he is too much of a threat? He could be a lock to win it all if he slips by everyone until the end.

9. Desiree (Last week: 9) — (O-Nav) Still has the numbers, but still stands to be on the bottom of the alliance once it starts breaking up.

10. Jenna (Last week: 13) — (O-Mal) Domenick found out last week (from Donathan) that Jenna and Libby weren’t really on his side. That’s a bad place to be for a guy who is playing a really sharp game.

11. Angela (Last week: 11) — (O-Nav) She was Chris’ top lieutenant. Now she’ll be easy to cast off for the Original Naviti when they turn on each other.

12. Libby (Last week: 12) — (O-Mal) She keeps getting votes thrown her way. Last week, some of the other women talked about voting her out — Desiree, Kellyn, Chelsea and Angela. Plus, Dom knows she’s a threat. I can’t see them letting her get much further.

4 of 13)

Survivor Ghost Island Power Rankings: Week 7

Each week, I’ll be ranking the remaining castaways from Survivor: Ghost Island by their best overall chance to win the game. Here’s how things look heading into Week 7 (the eighth episode of the season).

Just when it looked like another Original Malolo member would get the boot, Bradley surprisingly got taken out in a momentary blow to the Original Naviti alliance. Still, there are eight Original Naviti left and only five Original Malolo as we approach the merge this week.

To help you keep track, I’ve added a (O-Nav) or (O-Mal) by the names below. These are ranked by best chance of winning the whole game.

Note: If you are confused on which player is which, click on their name to see a photo of them.

Survivor Power Rankings: Week 7

1. Domenick (Last week: 2) — (O-Nav) The removal of Bradley was actually a power move by Domenick — according to Bradley’s interview with Rob Has A Podcast. Bradley claims Domenick was running circles around everyone with his gameplay in the pre-merge tribes.

2. Wendell (Last week: 1) — (O-Nav) I have a lot of faith in Wendell, but now he’s going to have to pick a side between Domenick and Chris. I think he will ultimately go with Domenick, but the fact he’ll have to alienate some members of the tribe probably isn’t great.

3. Kellyn (Last week: 3) — (O-Nav) Did you know Kellyn had a SUPER tight alliance with Bradley? The edit hasn’t shown us this, but the players have revealed this info afterward. They were basically viewed as a power couple. Kellyn is very smart and strategic. How will she fare on her own?

4. Chris (Last week: 7) — (O-Nav) You would think Chris has no chance of winning based on everything we’ve seen, but if he somehow prevails in getting Domenick booted — watch out! He could make a run. I don’t see it happening, but I’m putting him up here in case it does.

5. Chelsea (Last week: 5) — (O-Nav) She is with a strong group on Domenick’s team. If that core stays together, it could be the final four. (I don’t think she can win, though)

6. Sebastian (Last week: 4) — (O-Nav) He’s tight with Chris, and if those two convince Wendell to go with them over Domenick, then he could be in solid shape for awhile. That said, I’m not sure how strategic he is.

7. Michael (Last week: 13) — (O-Mal) It would be a near-miracle if he somehow wasn’t targeted in the next few weeks, but if he can somehow stay in the middle as Domenick and Chris do battle, he might emerge with some numbers on the other side.

8. Laurel (Last week: 10) — (O-Mal) Now that the merge has arrived, she might have more of a shot. It’s still going to be tough to break up Original Naviti, though.

9. Desiree (Last week: 8) — (O-Nav) She has the numbers, so there’s no reason to think she is an immediate threat of getting voted out. Let’s see what she can do with a few extra weeks to make some moves.

10. Donathan (Last week: 12) — (O-Mal) The other players need to be careful. If they completely overlook Donathan while taking out bigger threats and he makes it all the way to the end, the jury might give him the money.

11. Angela (Last week: 9) — (O-Nav) She’s at the bottom of Original Naviti. Now with the merge upon us, she has to make a move or risk going down with the Chris ship.

12. Libby (Last week: 11) — (O-Mal) In reading some of her interviews leading up to her job at Texas Motor Speedway (she was a “Great American Sweetheart” model), I realized she was not a Survivor fan before the game. The producers found her, not vice versa. Not sure how well that bodes for her now that the merge is here and strategy becomes a huge thing.

13. Jenna (Last week: 14) — (O-Mal) Apparently she won Sebastian’s heart at some point on the island, but I don’t think she will win the game.
