Let’s talk about Fence Climber Guy

There are some real idiots in this world, and two of them are Richmond Fence Climber Guy and Dover Fence Climber Guy.

That’s right — NASCAR had another moron climb the fence during a race, this time in Turn 4 while cars were passing underneath him under the green flag!

Dover Fence Climber Guy is lucky he didn’t end up splattered all over the track, to be honest. Hopefully, he will be banned for life from the track as Richmond Fence Climber Guy was.

Look, this fence climbing stuff is way different than a fan running onto a football or baseball field. One false move (or the fence giving way), and Fence Climber Guy becomes Dead Fence Climber Guy, and thousands of people are traumatized after watching his death and it’s very terrible for everyone.

So please, don’t dare your drunk friends to do this or let this become a “thing” in NASCAR. It’s not funny. Really.

By the way, Dover Fence Climber Guy is currently in jail. According to the track, he was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and “offensive touching” on a law enforcement officer (not sure I want to know what happened there).

Anyway, again, don’t be a Fence Climber Guy.

  1. I was in section 124. Didn’t see the guy climb the fence, but when he came down, he was definitely trying to get away from security.
When the police finally arrived (took a good 5 minutes) he was still struggling with them. “Offensive touching” may mean he simply put his hands on an officer (I’m just guessing here).

Either way, people like that don’t belong at a race track.

  2. How do you ban someone from entering a race? Cash, friends, ticket scalping, not to mention the super highly qualified personnel at the entry gates. My suggestion, sharp shooters at each corner ????????????

  3. Hang them from Mile at victory plaza ? Seriously climbing fence & throwing stuff on track , shoe that destroyed the transmission from the leader of the race…

They will be bann, they will have their picture on the track black list
& would be able to purchase tickets….

  4. Actually with NASCAR these days it’s probably a welcomed diversion…and more exciting….

  5. Seriously dude, you think the “fence giving way” is a possibility because a 175 pound man climbed it? It’s designed to withstand a far more significant load than that. I liked it better when Monte was filling in for you. He has whimsy without hyperbolic nonsense.

  6. I believe the “offensive touching of a police officer” thing was because the guy kicked an officer in the knee when he was in custody.

    Such a shame this happen…

  7. The “offensive touching” was he kicked a security guard or LEO. Regardless, it doesn’t get much dumber than this.
